Leather Selection & Quality Grades
Choosing the right leather is critical for boot durability and cost. We offer three standard grades:
- Full-grain leather: Top layer, natural markings, most durable. Used for premium work boots and fashion boots. Price range: $18–$28 per pair (FOB Wenzhou).
- Corrected-grain leather: Sanded and embossed, more uniform appearance. Good for mid-range products. Price range: $12–$18 per pair.
- Split leather: Lower cost, often used for lining or budget boots. Price range: $8–$12 per pair.
Sourcing Tips
- Request a leather swatch set before committing. We provide free A4 swatches for serious inquiries.
- Specify if you need chrome-tanned or vegetable-tanned leather. Vegetable-tanned is more eco-friendly but has longer lead time (45–60 days vs 30–45 days for chrome-tanned).
- For waterproof boots, we recommend full-grain with a waterproof membrane (e.g., Gore-Tex or our house-brand membrane). Add $3–$5 per pair.
Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) & Lead Times
Our standard MOQ for leather boots is 500 pairs per style, with a maximum of 3 colorways. For first-time buyers, we offer a trial MOQ of 200 pairs at a 10% premium.
Lead Time Breakdown
- Sample development: 10–15 working days (including pattern, cutting, stitching, lasting).
- Production: 30–45 working days after sample approval.
- Shipping (sea freight): 20–30 days to US West Coast, 35–45 days to Europe.

Payment Terms
- 30% deposit with order, 70% before shipment.
- L/C at sight for established buyers.
- We accept T/T, L/C, and for small orders, PayPal (with 3% fee).
Quality Control Process
We follow a strict 4-stage QC protocol:
1. Incoming material inspection: Leather thickness, color consistency, defects.
2. In-process inspection: Cutting accuracy, stitching tension, lasting alignment.
3. Final inspection: 100% visual check, size fitting, sole adhesion test, pull test for hardware.
4. Pre-shipment inspection: AQL 2.5 level II, random sampling. We provide photos and video of the inspection.

Logistics & Shipping
We ship from Wenzhou port (nearest deep-water port is Ningbo, 2 hours by truck). Most buyers use sea freight:
- FOB Wenzhou: We handle loading to container. You arrange shipping.
- CIF: We quote including insurance and freight to your nearest port.
- Door-to-door: Available for smaller orders via air or express (DHL, FedEx).
Container Capacity
- 20ft container: approx. 1,200–1,500 pairs (depending on boot size and packaging).
- 40ft container: approx. 2,500–3,000 pairs.
We recommend full container loads for best freight rates. For LCL (less than container load), we consolidate at our warehouse.
How to Start Your Order
1. Send us your spec: Tech pack, photos, or sample. We will review and provide a quotation within 48 hours.
2. Sample development: We make 2–3 pairs for your approval. Sample cost is $80–$150 per pair, refundable with production order.
3. Production: After sample approval and deposit, we schedule production. You receive weekly updates with photos.
4. Inspection & shipment: You can visit our factory or hire a third-party inspector. We arrange shipping per your instructions.
